Here's what to look for in a potential submission:
First, this collection only includes photos.  No other media is allowed.  Also, the photos in this collection must be good enough aesthetically in technique and composition that the art of the photograph helps bring alive the subject, even for viewers with no knowledge or experience of the culture.  Submissions do not have to be portraits, but there must either be a person (or more than one) in the photo or it can depict other anthropological subjects such as objects or places representative of a particular culture.  But whatever the subject, the photo must have a compelling "sense of place" - in other words, it has to have something to say about how people really live a particular society.

There's a limit of 2 submissions per person per week.  

Note: Please submit to the Featured Folder of the Gallery only.  A group admin will sort the photos into region folders after a few weeks (some of the very best will stay in Featured).  The Faves are for photos from photographers who simply never replied with a yes or a no to the requests to include their work in the Gallery.
